Ian Thomas, the owner and managing director, established ide Systems in Cannock in 1994 to produce specialist power distribution equipment. Based on his wide experience in the UK and overseas, he has developed a growing and well respected business.
With over 50 years’ of combined experience in electrical engineering, the team takes care of everything from initial enquiry through to specification and design.
Although many standard items are held in stock, we have built up a strong reputation for developing electrical distribution solutions tailored to individual customer requirements. This can often involve taking sketchy, outline, ideas and developing them into comprehensive yet practical designs before manufacture in our own factory.
Customers across a wide range of sectors have welcomed this approach.
In recent years the company hasn’t stood still. In addition to the growing tailored business, a rental service was established recently, as well as an e-commerce facility.
In fact the rental service has been so successful, it is soon to be established as a separate division operating from its own premises.
